Another $10.00 Well Spent

What up everybody, for those who haven't copped this album...pick it up, its most definitely in my opinion the closest thing you will get to the 1st Reflection Eternal album. Kweli held his own on the album, the collaboration with Jay Electronica, J.Cole and Mos was real nice of course. Hi-Tek delivered on the production, very solid, nostalgic album. It was very reminiscent of what I recall feeling like and what type of Hip-Hop music really influenced me at the time of the 1st collaborative project. The mix and mastering was great as well. Over all, a very solid project and an excellent change in scenery regarding the rest of whats been coming out. Cop it! You won't regret it.

Got Mastered

So we mixed down the project (Coffee House Chronicles, Morning Brew Books: 1-7) the weekend before last and got it mastered this past weekend (shouts to J Intell, coo dude by the way). We're now at the stage of waiting for some artwork for the project to come through and are still on schedule for releasing the project at the end of this month. I know you guys will enjoy the project, especially if you were VT fans to begin with. If not, I only hope to inspire y'all to jump on the band wagon. ETA's a couple weeks out, I appreciate all of you for being so very patient and even more than that, anxious for this project to drop. I promise 100% satisfaction guaranteed...HOLLER

A few more must have's for 2010, don't care if I'm late. . .

Um, regardless of the fact that I do music, I think ALL music lovers whether they do music or not love the search for something unseen or unheard. I am completely enthused with hip-hop's new infatuation with collaborating on full length projects with one another such as the following cd's with Freeway & Jake One, Styles P & Green Lantern and of course the Strong Arm Steady Crew. Anyhow...y'all need to go to your local record store and cop the following cd's if you haven't already. I know I'm late with these, but a friend informed me, he WASN'T informed regarding these projects.



Styles P still delivers that street shit, never really known for eating the microphone up, I still admire his expressing his perspective on a lot of shit. The album has a good amount of feature's with Jada, Uncle Murda, Raekwon and so forth along with a good amount of producers who threw in some work with the likes of Statik, Alchemist and so on. Real classic Yonker shit, lol.



Yo, you either love or hate this doo. Me personally, I dig his shit. I know this dropped a while ago within this year but this shit never got mentioned on my shit, this projects dope as well. With some of my fellow peers listening to cats like Gucci and shit like that, y'all can't tell me shit. lol. Hot SHIT, steamin'. Beanz on the shit too, ROC BOYS.

So...right behind the building I work at, there is an older gentleman...homeless guy...he spends his days sitting and roaming around the area and his nights outside of a chiropractor's office on a bench...I go through my closet and old storage and stumble across old clothing I don't particularly wear anymore, or for the most part haven't worn in some years now...I pack 4 HUGE garbage bags full of clothing and offer them to him...he says he'll take them, I ask him where I can put the bags for his convenience...I put them where he asked me to, and the fucking guy walks off and tells me he'll look through them tomorrow morning!!! Un fucking believable!!..I come back the next day and he asks where the clothes are...fucking jack off...someone else took them being that they were unattended...listen people...there are hundreds of homeless people here in Sacramento, many of which truly could use any help they can get...but this fucking guy...this fucking guy...this fucking guy ain't gettin' shit from me anymore....look at the pictures!!...I gave him evisu's!!!! I whole heartedly believe the person who stole them, needed the clothing more then this asshole, if not...they sure as hell wanted them a lot more...spare some change

We're very excited to finally wrap up and prepare to release this project. A lot of time has passed since the last Game Of Words EP was recorded. This project will display the amount of growth we have under gone as a crew musically and personally while showcasing our even more elaborate and finesse ability to spit. 5 Years. . .

Today marks the 5 year anniversary of my manz S.I.'s (Ian Ferro's) passing. He was part of this huge Verbal Taktiks crew (yes theres more than 3 of us), above all that...he was a good friend. Loved by many, he had a great personality...very easy to get along with, had an open mind to things...very creative and understanding. He resided in Duval, Florida...Loud Mouth Of The South...with more talent than most, word play was nice...lyrically impeckable. He had many friends in this big crew of ours (about 16 of us), many more friends outside of us, many fans...and above all...family. I want to offer my condolences to his family, to my fellow crew...my little sister Jas and to all those who knew, adored and loved him. Theres far much more that could be said about Ian but I'm going to end this memo like this...Ian...as your friends...your family...we miss and love you. God bless you Ian Ferro. Rest in peace.

Aiight what's up everybody! I'm Professor Xavier comin from PITTSBBURG California! I make underground sample based hip-hop beats! Lets see here I started out fallin in love with music as a child, I was exposed to all that good oldies from my parents and other family members at a real young age and ever since then I couldn't do anything with out it. I couldn't go any where with out headphones on, was always dubbin tapes off the radio when little makin my own mixes n shit like that. As time went on I started diving deep into underground hip-hop, seemed like that scene always had more to offer. (groups like hieroglyphics, living legends, bored stiff, etc) By the time I was in high school I was deep in the lifestyle, in summer school writin rhymes to pass the times (ooohhh! haha) I knew a cat who made beats and I've always wanted to get involved with music some how so I'd sit back and try to learn what he was doin (I eventually got the programs he was usin to make beats) then months later he met this group by the name of VERBAL TAKTIKS and they were young cats with their own apartment so we'd gather there, rhyme, make beats and party. They were dope, so I'd just sit back, soak it all in, then when I'd return home I'd practice what I learned, I even got better than some of the people I was learnin from! I did this on and off, didn't get too serious till after high school. I use FL studio, cool edit to chop samples and drums from records and a weak gemini turntable and stanton mixer to listen to records. I've been told my beats can make you sit and think, I love bein able to make something that fits my mood. I love dirty/gritty drums! I'd say I've mainly got a bored stiff/east coast influence when pickin and choosin samples and drums. I in-house produce for Verbal Taktiks and I'm currently workin with Equipto and the bored stiff fam. Equipto said it best. I feel these few bars right here suit me well: "Every day I wake up and grab a tape, or cd of hip-hop and try to get away/ contemplatin the break and decodin the rhyme/ and I fall into the rhythm of every line" thats how I start the day, EVERY DAY! Special thanks to equipto for contactin' me out of nowhere 'cause he felt my shit! shouts out to VERBAL TAKTIKS! they're beasts, watch out for them! It turned out to be a pretty good night...it was nice to be surrounded by a group of legitimate mc's and b-boys...dj rated r did his thing, j good, task1ne, soosh-e, live manikins and 5th ave of course, not failing to mention the b-boys, the graf artists, event coordinators...everybody...i personally believe we don't get the opportunity to perform with real hip-hop heads ENOUGH...i look forward to next time, hopefully the next even wont have to involve such tragedy considering the whole thing was for haiti and what not (peace to haiti)...shout to the whole hip-hop congress...shout to nina...

just finished watching Dexter's 1st season...mad interesting series...crazy season finale...baught my daily upper deck nba pack...no Kobe...but I got a jordan card! was kinda surprised...kinda not...muh'fucka hasn't played ball in how long now? even basketball card companies are getting desperate! kinda cool though...started doing this daily ritual for nostalgia's sake...getting the jordan card in that aspect was real exciting...still probably ain't worth a dime tho...
